Sage's Spa Party

Mandi and I love to plan parties. It's fun to have a theme, create cupcakes, games, etc. Imagine our delight when our friend Dana asked us to help plan her daughter Sage's eighth birthday party. (Remember her? She's my running partner from the Broad Street Run!) She had decided on a spa theme and already had a concept in mind. She wanted to do spa related stations, a craft and a game. Mandi and I came to help out; I manned the hair station, I LOVE doing hair, and she helped out with the other ones.

The party started out with pizza and pirates booty, how can you go wrong?? After dinner they each got a pair of flip flops to decorate. They got a bunch of balloons to tie around them and they turned out super cute!
When they finished their flip flops they went to the different stations to get pampered. They had mani/pedis, some were even lucky enough to have them done by Sage's Dad, Todd! Yogurt, parsley and cucumber facials by Dana complete with cucumbers and warm towels on their eyes. Hair by me finished off by glitter spray to make it extra fancy!
When they finished the stations they played a rousing game of freeze dance and then celebrated with cupcakes. Mandi and I made the cupcakes, chocolate with chocolate butter cream icing. I'll give you a preview now and Mandi will give you the lo-down on them tomorrow. I don't want to toot our own horns but we were super happy with how they came out!
